Master of Social Work Scholarships
The School of Social Work offers Master of Social Work Graduate work-study scholarships to full-time M.S.W. students in field placement. These scholarships match federal work-study funds to enable recipients to obtain paid field placements in nonprofit agencies and organizations, up to a total of $2,000 per year. To be eligible for these scholarships, students should file the FAFSA, which can be obtained online at www.fafsa.gov. The School of Social Work also offers scholarships to students enrolled full-time in the M.S.W. program. These include the Gladys Corvera-Baker Scholarship, available to Hispanic students who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need; the Juanita Handy Scholarship, awarded to a second-year minority and/or female student; and the Mary G. Davey Scholarship, awarded to a second-year student who is dedicated to child welfare. Specific information may be obtained by contacting the dean’s assistant at the School of Social Work.
