Graduation Requirements for all Undergraduate Students
The following requirements must be completed by undergraduate degree candidates at Rhode Island College in order to graduate:
- The General Education requirements.
- The College Writing Requirement.
- Writing in the Discipline Requirement.
- Introduction to RIC Requirement.
- The College Mathematics Milestone.
- The major requirements listed under each program, and, if applicable, requirements in the minor.
- Experiential Learning Requirement.
- A minimum of 120 earned credits.
- The College Residency Requirement: a minimum of 30 credits must be taken at RIC, a minimum of 15 credits in the major (at least 12 of which must be at the 300-level or above), and a minimum of 9 credits in the minor, if applicable
- A minimum of a 2.0 G.P.A. in the major and minor (if applicable).
- A minimum overall G.P.A. of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
